Hosted Desktop is a service that allows you to access a Windows desktop from any device, anywhere in the world. It is a great way to access your files and applications from home, or on the go.

How do I access Hosted Desktop?

Once the old boring stuff is out of the way, you will be provided an IP address and login details to access your desktop. You can access your desktop by using a Remote Desktop Client.

The best way to access Hosted Desktop

The best way to access Hosted Desktop is by using the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client. This is available for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. You can download the client from the following links:

Login Details

Where are my login details?

  • Your login details will be provided to you by our team at computify to your email address.
  • We will provide you with a username, password and IP address.
  • If you have not received these details, please contact us at support.
NEVER share your details with any one. Computify employees will never ask for your details.

Can I change my password?

Like any windows machine, you can change your password by pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL and selecting Change Password or through the Settings on windows.

However, if you change your password, our team at computify will not be able to access your machine. If you forget your password, we will have to reset your machine and you will lose all your data.

Where are my files stored?

Being in the cloud means that your files are stored in the cloud. This means that you can access your files from any device, anywhere in the world. The servers are located in Austria and Germany and are fully GDPR compliant.

Can I backup my files?

Yes, we can provide you with a backup solution. Please contact us at support for more information. With free backup to your own hardware, or paid backup, within the cloud.

Can I use my own software?

Yes. Computify’s team can help you install any software you need; as long as they are compatible with Windows Server. This is a paid service, please contact us at info for more information.
