Hosted Desktop is a service that allows you to access a Windows desktop from any device, anywhere in the world. It is a great way to access your files and applications from home, or on the go. ## How do I access Hosted Desktop? Once the old boring stuff is out of the way, you will be provided an IP address and login details to access your desktop. You can access your desktop by using a Remote Desktop Client. ### The best way to access Hosted Desktop The best way to access Hosted Desktop is by using the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client. This is available for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. Computify employees will never ask for your details. ### Can I change my password? Like any windows machine, you can change your password by pressing `CTRL + ALT + DEL` and selecting `Change Password` or through the `Settings` on windows. **However**, if you change your password, our team at computify will not be able to access your machine. If you `forget` your password, we will have to `reset` your machine and you will ***lose*** all your data. ## Files and Backups ### Where are my files stored? Being in the cloud means that your files are stored in the cloud. This means that you can access your files from any device, anywhere in the world. The servers are located in Austria and Germany and are fully GDPR compliant. ### Can I backup my files? Yes, we can provide you with a backup solution. With ***free*** backup to your own hardware, or ***paid*** backup, within the cloud. ## Software ### Can I use my own software? Yes. Computify's team can help you install any software you need; as long as they are compatible with Windows Server. This is a paid service, please contact us at [info](mailto:info@computify.cloud) for more information. ### What software is pre-installed? We pre-install the following software on all our Hosted Desktops: * Microsoft Office * Adobe Reader * Google Chrome ### What accounting software can be installed? We can install any accounting software that is compatible with Windows Server.
